Now, I’d been to the Owain Glyn Dŵr Museum in Machynlleth. Knew Glyn Dŵr had been the last native Welsh man to hold the title Prince of Wales. That, even now, there are memorials to him all over the country. But the Welsh Braveheart? The notion intrigued me. I decided to purchase Rees Davies’ slender tourist book on Glyn Dŵr. Owain Glyn Dwr's revolt continued to be active until Glyn Dwr himself was never captured and continued to lead raids from the mountains of Snowdonia, which prompted English travellers to always go with an armed escort. However, the glory days were gone, the people and land exhausted from 15 years of continual fighting.
